Combatant status in Ukraine
Among the statuses of veterans in the war in Ukraine is the combatant status (hereinafter - CBD status). People with this status can use the benefits provided by law for veterans.
According to ArmyInform, the main benefits for combatants include:
- free medicines, medical supplies, and the possibility of receiving a free dental prosthesis;
- regular medical examinations by specialists;
- discounts on housing and utilities;
- additional paid leave;
- free travel on all types of transport.
'Currently, CBD status is automatically granted to servicemen through the Veterans Register or by submitting documents for consideration by the commission. This procedure for granting CBD status is defined by law,' explained Colonel Oleg Rogal.
Servicemen need to gather all necessary documents and submit them for consideration to the appropriate commission to obtain the status of a combatant.
