The situation in the Sumy region remains tense due to attacks by Russian troops. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively repelling assaults, as confirmed by the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian troops have advanced south of the village of Andriivka and have likely completely seized this settlement. There are also unconfirmed reports of Russian advances towards Varachyn and north of Zapsillya and Myropillya. In response, Ukrainian forces are counterattacking.
Experts believe that the strong resistance of Ukrainian defenders and successful counterattacks indicate a readiness to fight to the end. The population of the region is urged to be cautious and prepared for evacuation in case of danger.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue active operations to defend the territory, and the resistance of Russian troops indicates the readiness of the Ukrainian military to fight for their country.
