US-China Talks at Risk Due to Different Approaches of Trump and Xi Jinping.

According to former White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, Trump wants to negotiate at the highest level, while the Chinese leader does not always take this approach. This could be the main obstacle to reaching a trade agreement between the countries.
'There is a fundamental misunderstanding here. Trump wants to talk at the highest level. But the Chinese do not always want to do business that way,' Mulvaney emphasized in an interview with Bloomberg TV.
According to Mulvaney, a possible phone call between the leaders this week could help reduce tensions in trade relations between the countries. However, there may be challenges in reaching an agreement due to differences in negotiation styles.
Problem of Negotiation Style
According to Mulvaney, Trump and the Chinese leader may face difficulties in reaching an agreement due to differences in their negotiation approaches. Whether the conversation will take place this week remains uncertain, as the Chinese Foreign Ministry refrains from commenting.
As a result, trade negotiations between the US and China may encounter difficulties due to the differences in the negotiation styles of the leaders of both countries. Despite Trump's desire to negotiate at the highest level, the Chinese may avoid such formats, complicating the conclusion of a trade agreement.
