Update of military equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
In May 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine presented over 130 new types of military equipment and weapons for the defense forces. According to Deputy Minister of Defense Valerii Churkin, about 80% of these novelties are of domestic production.
In the list of new samples, unmanned aerial vehicles, their ammunition, various transport vehicles, grenade launchers, electronic warfare tools, reconnaissance means, and other military equipment prevail.
'The role of unmanned systems on the battlefield is becoming increasingly significant. Statistics on the destruction of enemy targets prove that drones are no longer just an auxiliary tool but a key means of striking,' emphasized Valerii Churkin.
In general, the continuous update of military equipment and weapons is an important step in improving the country's defense capability and enhancing the effectiveness of the defense forces of Ukraine.
The supply of over 130 new types of military equipment and weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, most of which are domestically produced, indicates the ongoing renewal and modernization of the Ukrainian army aimed at enhancing the country's defense capability and the effectiveness of military operations. In this process, unmanned aerial vehicles are taking on an increasingly key role, allowing for greater accuracy in striking enemy targets and ensuring an advantage on the battlefield.Read also
