Reuters: The USA and Iran Conducted Direct Negotiations for the First Time Amid Escalation with Israel.

The USA and Iran held a series of phone negotiations in connection with Israeli strikes on Iranian territory. The aim of the negotiations is to find a diplomatic resolution to the situation. Trump's special envoy Steve Biegun and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi discussed the situation following the attacks that took place on June 13.
Araqchi stated that Tehran will not engage in negotiations until Israel ceases its attacks.
During the talks, a proposal was also mentioned regarding the creation of a regional consortium for uranium enrichment outside of Iran, which has been rejected for now. These negotiations are the most concrete since April this year. The parties are seeking a way out of the current situation, focusing efforts on finding a diplomatic solution.
