The Estonian Parliament has adopted a law that restricts the ties of religious organizations with foreign states that threaten security. This decision has been criticized by the Estonian Orthodox Christian Church, which believes that it restricts the freedom of religion for 250,000 religious citizens. The issue of the connection of religious centers with those who support violence exists in many countries. However, finding a balance between freedom of religion and national security is difficult. Therefore, the Estonian Parliament has decided to prohibit religious organizations from having ties with foreign states that threaten security. However, the Estonian Orthodox Christian Church believes that this is discrimination. But there are facts of religious centers calling for violence and aggression, so support for the law is justified.
