Vatican announced when to expect news about the election of the pontiff.

The conclave has begun in the Vatican: when to expect news about the election of the Pope
A conclave has begun in the Vatican to elect a new Pope. The first smoke, which will signal the successful election of a new pontiff, is expected no earlier than 8:00 PM Kyiv Time, reports Sky TG24.
The cardinals began the voting process with a joint mass at St. Peter's Basilica, after which a solemn procession will take place to the Sistine Chapel, where they will remain for voting. The first smoke from the conclave will be visible on the roof at 8:00 PM Kyiv time, and if it is black, it will mean that a new Pope has not yet been elected.
Tomorrow, May 8, the smoke will burst approximately at 11:30 or 1:00 PM, later at 6:30 PM or around 8:00 PM.
There are 133 cardinals from 70 countries present in the Sistine Chapel. This time, Italian Cardinal Pietro Parolin and Filipino Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle have chances of winning. The territory of the Vatican is disconnected from mobile communication, and military communication jammers are used around the chapel.
By the way, Ukraine's ambassador to the Vatican Andrii Yurash expressed his beliefs regarding the possibilities of Cardinal Mykola Bychko becoming the new Pope. According to the ambassador, there are currently no Ukrainian cardinals among the main candidates for this position.
The conclave will continue until a new Pope is elected. Hopes for successful and quick voting seem unpredictable. Everyone is awaiting the announcement of the news about the election of the new Pontiff in the Vatican.
