The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the list of important minerals and over 80 subsoil areas that will be auctioned and competed for to attract investments in mineral extraction.

How Ukraine will attract investments in mineral extraction
In total, 60 areas will be transferred through electronic auctions, and another 26 through competitions under special agreements. This will help attract investors for the extraction of lithium, titanium, copper, and other important resources for the economy and security of the country.
'The approval of lists of strategic and critical natural resources and subsoil areas is an important step for preserving national security, developing innovative production, and increasing the industrial potential of the state.'

This decision supports the law on the development of the mineral raw material base until 2030 and corresponds to Ukraine's plans and agreements with the USA regarding economic recovery.
What will change in the Ukrainian market for strategic and critical raw materials
Svitlana Hrynchuk also stated that such steps will help better manage the subsoil, attract investments in the mining sector, and create new jobs. The list of strategic minerals includes 11 types, among which:
- copper;
- lithium;
- uranium;
- titanium;
- nickel;
- beryllium;
- aluminum.
In total, the list of critical minerals includes 28 types of various raw materials.
