Massive drone attack. Power has been interrupted in the occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.


On the night of June 5, drones attacked the energy infrastructure in Enerhodar, Melitopol, Henichesk, and southern Russia, resulting in explosions. This was reported by Russian sources, according to 'Glavkom'.
Air raid alerts were triggered in the Ivovyd district of Russia, and the Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of 29 drones.
After the attack on the transformer substation, several districts were left without electricity. The Governor of Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, reported that some areas remained without power. The cities of Melitopol, Prymorsk, Enerhodar, and Akimivka also experienced temporary blackouts due to attacks on the electrical substation.
Previous attacks on energy infrastructure
Recently occupied Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions also suffered from attacks that caused partial power outages. In general, drone attacks and explosions at substations are becoming increasingly common events in southern Ukraine.
