Cabbage, carrots and eggs: how much basic products cost now.

Prices for products in Ukraine have increased the most in a year
According to the State Statistics Service, Ukrainians were told which products have increased the most in price over the past year. The rise in food prices has been quite significant.
The highest increase in prices has been noted for vegetables and fruits. For example, over the year, the price of cabbage has increased almost four times (by 276%), carrots – three times (by 223%), apples – by 88.5%, beets – by 57.25%. The cost of eggs has also risen by 76.9%, barley groats – by 42.8%, sunflower oil – by 38.7%.
The only product whose price has practically not changed over the year is lard – it has increased only by 0.2%.
Prices for wheat flour, potatoes, buckwheat, butter, and wheat groats have also risen by more than a third. However, despite this, some products have remained stable in price, such as lard.
In the last year, Ukrainians have felt a significant rise in food prices, especially for vegetables and fruits. This has been explained by a decrease in yield, transportation costs, and other factors. Despite this, the authorities have taken measures to support certain categories of the population in the context of rising prices.
