DeepState shows what area of Ukraine was occupied by Russia in January.

In January of this year, the enemy occupied the least territory in Ukraine since August of last year. This was reported in the analytical project DeepState.
According to statistics, Russian troops occupied 325 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory in January 2025. This is the lowest figure since August 2024.
'In January, the enemy occupied 325 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory. We are managing to slow down its advance, despite active offensive actions in many places. Our losses are related to repeated mistakes,' noted the authors of the report.
According to statistical data, from August to December of last year, the occupiers gradually captured larger territories, starting from 363 square kilometers in August and reaching a maximum of 730 square kilometers in November.
However, from January to July, Russian occupiers occupied smaller areas, ranging from 39 square kilometers in March to 317 square kilometers in May.
On February 1, Russia attacked Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv.
