Prices for popular vegetables have jumped by a quarter: Ukrainians will have to loosen their wallets.

Greenhouse cucumber prices in Ukraine rose by 23%
According to the EastFruit project, prices for greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine have sharply increased by 23%.
The market is witnessing a rise in prices for cucumbers grown in greenhouses. Demand for this product has increased, while supply remains low, leading to rising costs.
Currently, one kilogram of greenhouse cucumbers can be purchased for 80-120 hryvnias (approximately 1.93-2.89 dollars). The price has risen by 23% compared to last week.
Experts note that limited supply in the market is also impacting price increases. As of today, the main supply consists of imported products. Ukrainian greenhouse enterprises will enter the market no earlier than mid-month.
It is worth noting that although prices have risen, greenhouse cucumbers are being offered at 12% cheaper than at the beginning of February last year.
The government has also already forecasted food prices for the coming months.
