EU plans to allocate 6 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine: what is on the list.

The European Union is preparing aid for Ukraine amounting to no less than 6 billion euros
According to reports from three European diplomats, the European Union plans to allocate military aid to Ukraine totaling at least 6 billion euros. This aid package will include artillery shells and air defense systems. It will become one of the largest military aid packages provided by the EU since Russia's invasion in 2014. An official announcement is planned for February 24, on the day of the visit of European commissioners to Kyiv.
According to two diplomats, the initial amount of aid will be 6 billion euros, but it may increase to 10 billion euros or even more. The decision will be made after assessing the stockpiles of EU member states. It is planned that the EU foreign ministers will discuss this aid package at a meeting in Brussels next week.
The financial assistance from the European Union will be proportional to the gross national income of the countries. Moreover, EU member states will provide Ukraine not only with military equipment but also with financial support. The European External Action Service (EEAS) has already sent a request for the supply of artillery shells, air defense systems, and equipment for Ukrainian brigades.
Although the details of the aid package are still being discussed, it is currently unknown whether it will be approved by all EU countries or only those that support Ukraine. One diplomat noted that unanimous approval is unlikely due to Hungary's position.
